چکیده

The aim of the research was to expand genetic diversity spelt wheat by introgression material species Triticum turgidum subsp. dicoccum (Schrank ex Schübl.) Thell. and create on this basis new source material. Materials methods. study conducted during 2016–2022 in conditions Uman National University Horticulture, located zone Right-Bank Forest-Steppe Ukraine, subzone unstable moisture. winter variety Zoria Ukrainy (maternal form) sample (pollinator). used common technology growing cereals. Sowing carried out optimal time for – third decade September. All records observations were performed accordance with generally accepted In work a systematic method plot placement four repetitions. Results. As result researches number introgressive lines spelled different level manifestation morphological economically valuable features created. created samples according morphology ear are divided into morphotypes spelt, emmer intermediate forms. Conclusions. creation initial breeding at distant hybridization spelta L. × var. dicoccoides. Valuable high-yielding obtained using breeding. It found that highest frequency transgression second generations recorded weight grain from (19.1–20.0%). yield (535.2 g/m2) 1000 grains (44.8 g) significantly exceeded standard (sample 230), as well protein (20.4%) gluten (44.0%) 227). selected will be donors genes economically traits schemes wheat.

Classifying Ethiopian Tetraploid Wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) Landraces by Combined Analysis of Molecular & Phenotypic Data

Article Information The aim of the study was to investigate the extent of the genetic diversity among gene bank accessions of Ethiopian tetraploid wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) landraces using microsatellite markers, qualitative and quantitative data. Thirty five accessions of Ethiopian tetraploid wheat (T. turgidum L.) landraces were grown in the greenhouse at IFA Tulln, Austria during spring 2...

Transfer of Soft Kernel Texture from Triticum aestivum to Durum Wheat, Triticum turgidum ssp. durum

Durum wheat (Triticum turgidum ssp. durum) is a leading cereal grain whose primary use is the production of semolina and pasta. Its rich culinary relationship to humans is related, in part, to its very hard kernel texture. This very hard texture is due to the loss of the Puroindoline genes that were eliminated during the allopolyploid formation of T. turgidum approximately 0.5 million years ago...

Chromosomal distribution of pTa-535, pTa-86, pTa-713, 35S rDNA repetitive sequences in interspecific hexaploid hybrids of common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and spelt (Triticum spelta L.)

Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) relies on fluorescent-labeled probes to detect specific DNA sequences in the genome, and it is widely used in cytogenetic analyses. The aim of this study was to determine the karyotype of T. aestivum and T. spelta hybrids and their parental components (three common wheat cultivars and five spelt breeding lines), to identify chromosomal aberrations in the...

TdERF1, an ethylene response factor associated with dehydration responses in durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L. subsp. durum).

Water deficit and increasing salinization reduce productivity of wheat, the leading crop for human diet. While the complete genome sequence of this crop has not been deciphered, a BAC library screening allowed the isolation of TdERF1, the first ethylene response factor gene from durum wheat. This gene is putatively involved in mediating salt stress tolerance and its characterization provides cl...
